What Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee is

It is a powdered drink mix in a 308 g pouch, in one UK flavour, Latte Macchiato. According to the Herbalife GB product label for High Protein Iced Coffee (item 012K), you fill a shaker with 250 ml of cold water, add two scoops of powder (22 g), shake, and pour it over ice. The pouch holds 14 servings.

Whey protein concentrate makes up 85 per cent of the powder and soluble coffee powder 12 per cent. The rest is flavourings, sea salt, a coconut oil creamer and steviol glycosides. Whey is a milk protein, so milk is the allergen the label flags, and the label prints that the coffee is 100 per cent Robusta espresso beans.

The one nutrition statement on the pouch is that protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass. That is the whole of what it claims about itself.

The Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee label, figure by figure

A serving is 22 g of powder in 250 ml of water, as the Herbalife GB label presents it.

Fifteen grams of protein in 80 kcal is the point of the product. The figure buyers skip is the last one: Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee lists no vitamins and no minerals at all.

What Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee costs per serving

We sell the Herbalife range at or close to cost. A pouch is 14 servings, so the price divided by 14 is what one drink costs.

Cost per serving at the label dose

High Protein Iced Coffee, 308 g, 14 servings: £2.57 a serving

Protein Drink Mix, 588 g, 21 servings: £1.56 a serving

Formula 1 Vanilla Cream, 780 g, 30 servings: £1.20 a serving

Serving counts from the Herbalife GB labels: 14 for item 012K, 21 for Protein Drink Mix item 2600, 30 for Formula 1 item 048K.

Iced Coffee is the dearest of the three per drink. The part a salesperson leaves out is that the Herbalife GB label for Protein Drink Mix gives the same 15 g of protein a serving, for about a pound less. On protein alone, PDM wins.

The extra pound buys the coffee. If you were buying a coffee anyway, it was already spent. Our Herbalife price comparison runs the same arithmetic across the range.

Herbalife iced coffee caffeine: 80 mg a serving, against a normal cup

Each serving carries 80 mg of caffeine. NHS guidance on foods to avoid in pregnancy puts a cup of instant coffee at roughly 100 mg, black or green tea at roughly 75 mg, and a 250 ml can of energy drink at roughly 80 mg. One serving sits between a tea and an instant coffee.

The same NHS page says that in pregnancy you should not exceed 200 mg of caffeine a day. Two servings is 160 mg. Three is 240 mg, over on its own. If you are pregnant, pick Protein Drink Mix, which has no coffee in it, and speak to your midwife.

If you already drink three coffees before lunch, Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee is a fourth, at 80 mg a serving. It is a protein drink with a coffee in it, not a coffee with protein added.

What Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee is not

It is not a meal replacement, and that is the mistake that costs people money. The label lists no vitamins and no minerals, and 80 kcal is not a meal. Replace lunch with it and you have had 15 g of protein, 3 g of carbohydrate, 1 g of fat and no vitamins or minerals at all.

It is not a weight-loss product, and the label makes no claim of that kind. It is not a pre-workout: no creatine, no electrolyte blend. It is not dairy free and not vegan, because whey protein concentrate and sodium caseinate are both milk. Our vegan protein guide covers the alternatives.

It is not a medicine and it treats nothing. If you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a health condition, show the ingredients to your GP or pharmacist first.

Iced Coffee and Formula 1 do different jobs

Herbalife sells a coffee-flavoured meal replacement too, Formula 1 Café Latte, so the names do little to separate them. The table uses Formula 1 Vanilla Cream, the label these figures come from.

High Protein Iced Coffee Formula 1 Vanilla Cream 780 g

Formula 1 figures from the Herbalife GB label for Formula 1 Vanilla Cream 780 g (item 048K), read 16 October 2026, per serving with 250 ml semi-skimmed milk.

Want a meal, buy Formula 1

It carries 25 vitamins and minerals and 227 kcal, and costs less per serving. Café Latte is the coffee flavour of it.

Want protein between meals, buy Iced Coffee or PDM

Both give 15 g a serving. Our Protein Drink Mix UK guide covers it: no coffee in it, and about a pound less a serving. No Herbalife product is both a meal replacement and an iced coffee.

Who should skip Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee

Anyone avoiding dairy, because whey is milk. Anyone pregnant or near the 200 mg caffeine figure. Anyone who dislikes coffee, as there is no second UK flavour. Anyone wanting a meal in a glass. And anyone buying on cost per gram of protein, who should buy the best-value Protein Drink Mix size in the UK and keep the difference.

It suits one person: somebody who already drinks iced coffee, already wants more protein, and would rather make one drink than two. For them, 15 g of protein in 80 kcal beats the coffee they already buy. If that is not you, buy something else, or buy nothing.
