Herbalife Immune Booster UK: What's in It and Is It Worth It?

Herbalife Immune Booster is a berry drink you mix from a sachet once a day. It gives you vitamins C and D, zinc and selenium, plus a yeast ingredient called EpiCor. It's a food supplement, not a medicine.

Quick answer: A box of 21 sachets is £29.66, or £1.41 a day. One sachet gives 10 µg of vitamin D, the daily amount the NHS says adults need, plus 80 mg of vitamin C. If you already take two Formula 2 tablets daily, you're covered for both, so you'd mainly be paying for EpiCor.

What's in Herbalife Immune Booster?

These figures are from the UK product label, per sachet mixed with 150 ml of water. RI is the reference intake shown on the label.

Nutrient Per sachet % RI
Vitamin C 80 mg 100%
Vitamin D 10 µg 200%
Zinc 3 mg 30%
Selenium 55 µg 100%
EpiCor (dried yeast fermentate) 500 mg No reference intake

It's high in vitamins C and D, selenium and zinc, which contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Zinc and selenium also contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Those are the only health claims on the box. The box promotes EpiCor but makes no authorised health claim for it, so we don't either.

The main ingredient is maltodextrin, a carbohydrate. It also contains elderberry fruit juice powder, citric acid, acacia and xanthan gum, natural flavouring and beetroot red colour, and is sweetened with steviol glycosides from stevia. It's labelled vegan friendly and gluten free.

What is EpiCor in Herbalife Immune Booster?

EpiCor is the brand name of the dried yeast fermentate in each sachet. It's made using Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a type of yeast, so the drink contains yeast. Bear that in mind if you avoid yeast.

It's the one ingredient here that Formula 2 doesn't contain. There's no daily reference intake for it.

Who is Immune Booster best for?

It suits you if one of these is true:

  • You won't take tablets. A drink you'll actually finish beats a tub you won't open.
  • You want vitamin D in winter and like one drink that covers vitamin C as well.
  • You specifically want EpiCor.

Skip it if you avoid yeast, or you already take two Formula 2 tablets a day and don't want EpiCor.

How do you take Herbalife Immune Booster?

Mix one sachet into 150 ml of water

Stir until it dissolves. It's berry flavoured and sweetened with stevia.

Drink one glass a day with a meal, and store it safely

Don't take more than one sachet a day. Store it cool and dry, away from young children.

Do you need Immune Booster if you take Formula 2?

Probably not for the vitamins. Two Formula 2 Women's or Formula 2 Men's tablets already give 20 µg of vitamin D and 250 mg of vitamin C, more than a sachet of Immune Booster.

You take nothing at the moment

A tub of Formula 2 costs £20.01 and lasts 30 days at two tablets a day (the recommended use is 1 to 2). That covers vitamins C and D for less than half the cost of 30 days of Immune Booster. Choose Immune Booster only if you'd rather drink a glass than swallow tablets.

You already take Formula 2

Immune Booster mainly adds EpiCor. Two Formula 2 tablets already give more zinc and selenium than a sachet (8.7 mg and 79 µg). If you don't specifically want EpiCor, you don't need both.

You want a winter vitamin D top-up only

Adults should consider a vitamin D supplement in autumn and winter. One sachet covers it for £1.41 a day.

How much vitamin D is too much?

The NHS says adults shouldn't take more than 100 µg of vitamin D a day. Here's what each product adds, from the UK labels. The total is our own sum.

Daily dose Vitamin D Cost a day
Immune Booster, 1 sachet 10 µg £1.41
Formula 2, 2 tablets 20 µg £0.67
Xtra-Cal, 3 tablets 2.3 µg £0.49
All three together 32.3 µg –

Even all three together stay well under the limit. If you also take a separate vitamin D supplement, add it to the total before you buy.

Worked example: Sam takes two Formula 2 tablets and a 25 µg vitamin D tablet from the chemist, and wants to add Immune Booster in winter. That's 20 + 25 + 10 = 55 µg a day (our own sum), under the 100 µg adult limit.

If Sam's chemist tablet were 75 µg instead, the total would be 20 + 75 + 10 = 105 µg (our own sum). That's over the limit, so Sam would drop one of them.

Is Herbalife Immune Booster good value?

At £1.41 a day, 30 days costs about £42 at the 3 November 2026 price (our own sum). It isn't worth it if all you want is vitamin D.

The extra you pay over Formula 2 buys EpiCor and the drink format.

See our daily wellness routine guide for how Immune Booster fits with Formula 2 and Xtra-Cal.
